About us

Helgøy Skyssbåt is a family-owned shipping company offering unique experiences at sea in the Tromsø region during the winter season. The company has extensive experience in maritime transport and sea-based experiences, combining safe operations with personal service and local knowledge.

During the winter season in Tromsø, we offer whale watching tours in Arctic waters, with a focus on comfortable and safe experiences for our guests. For the rest of the year, we operate passenger transfer services and crew transport along the Norwegian coast, as well as excursions for cruise and tourism guests in the Lysefjord. Our fleet consists of modern and refurbished high-speed vessels with heated indoor lounges and excellent viewing opportunities.

Helgøy Skyssbåt is committed to sustainability and is certified as an Miljøfyrtårn business. We work continuously to reduce environmental impact and ensure responsible operations in sensitive natural areas. As a family-owned company, we place great emphasis on quality, safety, and memorable guest experiences.

Please note that, unfortunately, our vessels are not wheelchair accessible due to boarding conditions and varying quay access at low tide.
