Daily Whale Watching from Tromsø

Sail to the whale-watching areas near Skjervøy, one of the most important feeding grounds for orcas and humpback whales in Northern Norway. Every winter, the whales gather here to follow the large shoals of herring, providing a unique opportunity to experience these majestic animals in their natural habitat.

In addition to humpback whales and orcas, you may also spot fin whales and other marine wildlife. Combined with the distinctive Arctic light and magnificent winter landscape, this creates a nature experience you will remember for years to come.

The tour is operated using fast boats, providing the flexibility to adjust the route along the way and travel to areas where whale sightings are most likely. This allows more time in the areas where the whales are located and increases the chances of good sightings.

The number of guests on board is limited to ensure plenty of space and a comfortable experience. Fewer guests mean better views, more room around you and a more personal experience at sea.

On board, you will find a modern, refurbished boat with a comfortable lounge, large panoramic windows and spacious outdoor areas. You can enjoy the views in comfortable surroundings or feel the fresh Arctic air while keeping watch for whales.

Complimentary coffee, tea and hot chocolate are available throughout the tour. The onboard kiosk also offers a selection of snacks and drinks, including vegetarian and vegan options.

The tour is suitable for couples, friends and families, with plenty of space for pushchairs and equipment. Children under four years of age travel free of charge. If you are continuing your journey after the tour, there is also ample space for luggage on board.

Please note that this tour is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users or people with significantly reduced mobility. Boarding takes place via a gangway, and tidal variations can sometimes make access challenging. For safety reasons, we are unable to assist with lifting or carrying guests on board. Departure time and place: 8:30 AM (08:30) from Kaigata 6, in front of Clarion Hotel The Edge. Look for the boat marked “Helgøy Skyssbåt”. Please arrive no later than 15 minutes before departure
