Polar Expedition -Afternoon Departure

This tour is conducted by Norwegian Fjord Explorer.

The boat offers grand adventures and polar tales, and is the city’s only vessel with its own restaurant, bar, and kitchen. History lives in the walls — from past expeditions and the ship’s own international TV series, where extreme sports athletes seek out mountains and wilderness.

Along the way, we share stories of polar exploration and many of the secrets of our Arctic capital. You're also welcome up in the wheelhouse for a good chat and learn a little polar navigation.

We are also developing kelp-based biofuel that removes CO₂ — made from leftover raw materials after the production of a healthy energy drinks!

During the trip, it's not uncommon to see small whales, seals, eagles, and reindeer. You're warmly welcome both before and after the cruise for a drink or snack on our observation dec to have more of the northern lights or midnight sun. The boat carries 70 passengers and has 24 beds for longer journeys and overnight stays. Join us where people come to socialize and happy informally explore away from the main tourist streams. Availability period: This cruise by Norwegian Fjord Explorer Lines is available Wednesday - Saturday every week during the period 1st May 2025 to 27th September 2025. The tour is also available every day during the winter season, from 1st November 2025 to 28th March 2026.

Included: Cruise, local guide, story telling and an arctic strawberry drink from the ship's own brewery.
