This tour is conducted by Tromsø Lapland

Participate in the daily feeding of a herd of over 200 reindeer! You will be picked up outside Radisson Blu Hotel in Tromsø: Just look for the guide wearing a blue Luhkka (poncho).

After checking in with our guide, you will hop on a 45 minutes’ drive to our camp. On your way, you will be able to enjoy the beautiful Northern Norwegian mountains and upon arrival, you will be greeted by our Sami guide who will guide you to the reindeer fence to start with the reindeer feeding.

Learn more about these amazing animals while enjoying the views with the Lyngen Alps in the background and enjoy our little patch of Arctic paradise.

Now that the reindeers are full and satisfied, it's your turn to have dinner. You will head to the Gamme (modern-traditional Sami hut) for a hot drink and a warm tasty Biddos, our traditional Sami reindeer stew. Inside the Gamme, our guide will tell you more about life in the Arctic, Sami knowledge and culture, and will show you a collection of Sami artifacts and clothing.

Tromsø Lapland is established by authentic Saami people with long reindeer herding traditions and have the longest experience of running authentic Saami experience and culture tours in Tromsø, being established in 2009.

The morning tour deaprts at 10:00 AM.

Departure time and place: Meeting at 09:45, Departure at 10.00 (10am) from Radisson Blu Hotel ( Sjøgata 7, 9259, Tromsø)
Duration: 4.5 hours.

- Scenic transfers (45 min each way).

- Entrance to the fence and feeding of the herd at our camp.

Food: Biddos: a traditional Sami stew consisting on reindeer meat, potatoes, carrots and brown sauce (contains cream and flour). Vegan soup: a hearty vegetable and lentils soup containing carrots, green beans, green peas, broccoli, cabbage, onion, potatoes, leek. Gluten and Lactose free. Snacks and hot drinks are also included.
