Snowshoe Like a Local in Tromsø

This tour is operated by Arctic Cruise in Norway. 

Norwegians love spending time outdoors, and snowshoeing is one of the most authentic ways to experience winter in Northern Norway. 

Join an experienced local guide for a fun and personal adventure through Tromsø’s snow-covered landscapes. Travel comfortably in a premium electric vehicle before heading into peaceful forests, deep snow and beautiful Arctic scenery. 

No previous snowshoeing experience is required. The route is adapted to the group’s fitness level, preferences and the conditions on the day. Choose an easy walk across flatter terrain or climb a small hill for wider views of the mountains and surrounding wilderness. 

Walk through the snow, breathe the fresh Arctic air and discover the simple pleasures of Norwegian outdoor life. The small group gives you personal attention from the guide and plenty of time to enjoy the landscape, play in the snow and take photographs. 

During the tour, you will be served coffee, tea or hot chocolate with traditional Norwegian lefse or Kvikk Lunsj chocolate. 

After the experience, you will receive a personalised digital artwork inspired by your Arctic adventure and the scenery of Northern Norway.

Restrictions and important information: 

• The tour is not recommended for guests with back problems. 
• Pets are not permitted. 
• The tour is not accessible with a pushchair or pram. 
• The tour is not wheelchair accessible. 
• No previous snowshoeing experience is required. 
• The route is adapted to the group’s fitness level, preferences, weather and snow conditions. 
• Extra hats and mittens are available if required. 
• The tour can also be booked as a private experience. 
• Groups of more than seven guests can be accommodated upon request using an additional vehicle. 
• An upgrade to a Porsche Cayenne Electric may be available upon request for an additional charge.

Please bring: 

• Warm winter jacket and trousers, preferably insulated or windproof 
• Thermal underwear or other warm base layers 
• Warm, waterproof winter boots 
• Hat and warm mittens or gloves 
• Scarf or neck warmer 
• Extra warm layers on colder days 
• Phone or camera 

Number of participants: Maximum 7 guests per vehicle. Larger groups are available upon request.
