Our fast, luxurious and sustainable catamaran allows you to reach the whales quickly and spend as much time with them as possible. Join us on a day tour from Tromso for an unforgettable whale watching experience in exotic Arctic landscapes.
Join us as we sail from Tromsø early in the morning on a thrilling whale watching adventure. Our warm and luxurious catamaran is not only sustainable but also fast, allowing us to be among the first boats to reach the whales' feeding grounds. This gives you more time to observe Orcas, Humpback whales and porpoises in the fjords of Northern Norway. Whales are highly social animals, so don't be surprised if they put on a little show during your visit.
Relax in a comfortable seat, enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee or tea, and take in the stunning views of the Lyngen Alps, the Tromso fjords and the colourful Polar Night sky.
Our purpose-built sightseeing catamaran is designed specifically for Arctic fjord cruises. The vessel is spacious, quiet, comfortable and well suited to winter conditions, providing a smooth experience even in rough seas.
You can enjoy the whales from the large outdoor viewing decks or stay warm inside the panoramic lounges while still enjoying excellent views. The onboard café offers locally baked goods, snacks and hot or cold drinks throughout the journey.
During the cruise, knowledgeable local guides share fascinating information about whales, their migration patterns and other Arctic wildlife. Meanwhile, the experienced crew continuously scans the area for whale activity. When whales are spotted, the captain will notify guests so everyone has time to move to the viewing decks.

Good to know:
• Whale sightings cannot be guaranteed. If Orcas or Humpback whales are not spotted during your tour, you will receive a free voucher for the next available whale watching cruise within the same season.
• Most departures operate aboard MS Rygerdronningen. During peak season and periods of high demand, an additional departure at 9 AM (09:00) may operate aboard MS Rygertroll.
• No disembarkation takes place during the tour.
• The duration may vary depending on the whales' location.
• When purchasing a companion ticket, a valid companion certificate must be presented on board. This is required in accordance with our procedures.

Accessibility:

• Our crew will assist both passengers and wheelchairs during boarding and disembarkation.
• The same conditions apply to baby carriages.

During the polar night of the Arctic winter, we offer daytime cruises in search of humpback whales and orcas. In the evening, you can join us as we seek out the spectacular Northern Lights aboard our high-speed ferry, which quickly and comfortably takes us away from the light pollution of Tromso.
Both the whales and the unforgettable displays of the Aurora Borealis are natural phenomena that cannot be guaranteed. What we can guarantee is that if you do not see them on one cruise, we will give you a free ticket for the next available cruise.
