Tromsø Center for Contemporary Art

Tromsø Center for Contemporary Art, also known as Romssa Dáiddasiida and Tromssan Taitopiiri, is Northern Norway’s oldest art institution and an important venue for contemporary art in the region.

About us

Tromsø Center for Contemporary Art presents contemporary art through exhibitions and other activities. The programme includes both established and emerging artists from the region and beyond.

The institution is also home to Mondo Books, an artist-run bookshop specialising in publications on art and visual culture.

Tromsø Center for Contemporary Art is responsible for KINOBOX, a microcinema for artists’ films located at Aurora Kino Fokus.

Plan your visit

Tromsø Center for Contemporary Art is currently located in temporary premises at Mellomvegen 82. Admission is free, and visitors are welcome to enjoy complimentary coffee and tea.

Please note that Tromsø Kunstforening is only open when an exhibition is on. Check the current programme before visiting.
