The tour starts in the city center with a brief introduction to the city and its history.

General information

This tour is conducted by Tromsø Accessible Tours.

The tour will give an overview of the Island of Tromsø, its history and the surrounding area. We will make a stop on the island Kvaløy, visit the beach at Telegrafbukta, have a guided tour at the Tromsø University Museum and cross to the mainland to visit the Arctic Cathedral.

Our guide will provide information about the region, flora, fauna, and geography.

The tour lasts for 4 hours. It ends back in the city center or cruise ship quay.

In our tours we accept wheelchair users or PRM. We also are prepared to guide people with visual or hearing impairments, as well as neurodivergent people as well.

Please note: If the Cable Car is closed for any reason, we will replace that stop with a 1 hour guided visit to the Tromsø Arctic University Museum, with a focus on Sámi history.

Included: Guide (English and Spanish as default language, other languages possible on request), return tickets for the Cable Car, transport to and from city center and cruise ports (transport: Sprinter Minibus, wheelchair accessible),drop off included at city centre, by Scandic Ishavshotel (Fredrik Langes gate 2, 9008 Tromsø).
Please bring: Dress for very cold weather and any specific things for you to have a better experience.
Number of participants: 3 – 15
Level of difficulty: Easy, suitable for everyone. Must be careful with ice and snow conditions, there is no age limit to participate. However, with very small children, we need advance notice.
Departure time and place: At 10:00 AM (10:00) from Scandic Ishavshotel (Fredrik Langes gate 2, 9008 Tromsø). Note: The departure time can vary depending on certain conditions. Please check the time in the calendar before booking.

We are Tromsø Accessible Tours, a social enterprise. We promote, design and organize accessible itineraries of adventure tourism in the city of Tromsø throughout the year.

We can help to plan and book all the services needed for a great vacation. We will get in touch with our guests and make sure we understand their individual accessibility needs. By knowing our guests, we will be able to offer the best places to visit, activities, and hotels for them.



Some activities are arranged directly by ourselves and on this we guarantee 100% the accessibility required. We also offer activities by other providers in Tromsø, and on these we will accompany the visitors. If the accessibility of the activity is not perfect because of the nature of the activity, we can help to make it as comfortable as possible.
