The tour starts in the city center with a brief introduction to the city and its history.

General information

This tour is conducted by Tromsø Accessible Tours.

The tour will give an overview of the Island of Tromsø, its history and the surrounding area. We will make a stop on the island Kvaløy, visit the beach at Telegrafbukta, have a guided tour at the Tromsø University Museum and cross to the mainland to visit the Arctic Cathedral.

Our guide will provide information about the region, flora, fauna, and geography.

The tour lasts for 4 hours. It ends back in the city center or cruise ship quay.

In our tours we accept wheelchair users or PRM. We also are prepared to guide people with visual or hearing impairments, as well as neurodivergent people as well.

Included: Guide (English and Spanish as default languages; other languages available on request), transport, entrance to the Tromsø University Museum and the Arctic Cathedral
Please bring: Dress for very cold weather and any specific things for you to have a better experience
Number of participants: Min. 3 – Max. 15
Level of difficulty: Easy, suitable for everyone. Must be careful with ice and snow conditions, there is no age limit to participate. However, with very small children, we need advance notice
Departure time and place: 10:00 AM (10:00) from Ishavshotel, Fredrik Langes gate 2, 9008 Tromsø

We are Tromsø Accessible Tours, a social enterprise. We promote, design and organize accessible itineraries of adventure tourism in the city of Tromsø throughout the year.

Some activities are arranged directly by ourselves and on this we guarantee 100% the accessibility required. We also offer activities by other providers in Tromsø, and on these we will accompany the visitors. If the accessibility of the activity is not perfect because of the nature of the activity, we can help to make it as comfortable as possible.
