Located by the waterfront in central Tromsø, Vertshuset Skarven brings together several restaurants and dining experiences under one roof, with a focus on quality ingredients and Northern Norwegian food traditions.
General information
Today, Vertshuset Skarven consists of five different venues: Arctandria, Skarven Grill (Biffhuset), Skarven Kro, Skarven Bar and Kulinarisk Teater.
At Arctandria, seafood takes centre stage, with dishes inspired by the culinary traditions of the Northern Norwegian coast. Depending on the season, the menu may include fresh fish, stockfish, dried and salted cod, shellfish and other regional ingredients.
Skarven Grill, also known as Biffhuset, has served guests for several decades and combines local ingredients with established Northern Norwegian food traditions.
Skarven Kro is a casual and social meeting place where the menu includes dishes such as creamy fish soup, reindeer burger, fish gratin and freshly made waffles.
Kulinarisk Teater is a private function venue for groups and can be booked for both corporate dinners and private gatherings.
Vertshuset Skarven is part of Taste Tromsø, a restaurant group focusing on local restaurants, Northern Norwegian ingredients and produce from local suppliers.
