Authentic North, the original Arctic Floaters of Tromsø is an experience provider offering high-quality, nature-based activities with a strong connection to the Arctic environment and local culture.


We offer a unique way to experience the Arctic landscape – calm, immersive, and from a completely different perspective. In addition, we offer a wide range of authentic Norwegian activities, including food walks, reindeer experiences with sledding and encounters with Sámi culture, as well as activities such as snowshoeing, ice fishing, and building snow caves. We offer both scheduled tours and private, tailor-made experiences. Private Northern Lights tours are available on request.



Accessibility: We do our best to accommodate guests with different needs, including families with small children. We recommend looking at our activities designed specifically for children, which are also enjoyable for adults.



Food: Primarily local ingredients. Vegetarian options available upon request. If you would like food to play a bigger part in your experience, we are happy to accommodate, as we are foodies in general.
