Join a small-group Northern Lights chase from Tromsø with a maximum of 15 guests per minibus. With 20 years of experience and more than 10,000 tours, the team combines local knowledge, weather forecasts and a network of contacts across the Tromsø region to choose the best direction each evening.

Your experienced English-speaking Northern Lights guide and local driver can adapt the route throughout the night when necessary, always with safety as the highest priority. Along the way, your guide shares stories and knowledge about the Northern Lights and life in Northern Norway while you explore the Arctic landscape.

Whenever possible, the tour visits one of Best Arctic’s private Northern Lights camps, located away from city lights and accessed through agreements with local landowners. Shelter and toilet facilities are available at selected camps.

When conditions allow, the group gathers around a leave-no-trace bonfire. Hot drinks, a local snack and a light hot meal are included, and thermal winter suits are provided to help keep you warm.

There is also a strong focus on Northern Lights photography. If you bring your own camera, the guide can help you with the settings, and tripods are available to borrow. Your guide will also take portraits and Northern Lights photos during the tour. Standard-resolution photos are included and available to download afterwards, while high-resolution versions without a logo can be purchased separately.

Meeting time and place: Check your ticket for your meeting and departure time. Check-in is at the Best Arctic Meeting Point on the upper floor of Prostneset Bus Terminal, Samuel Arnesens gate 5, 9008 Tromsø.

Optional pick-up at Tromsø Lodge & Camping: Pick-up is 30 minutes before departure. This pick-up point must be selected when booking. Check your ticket for the exact time.

Return: You will be back in Tromsø between 11 PM (23:00) and 2 AM (02:00).

Duration: Approx. 5–7 hours

• The tour is not accessible to wheelchair users
• The bonfire and visits to private Northern Lights camps depend on weather and local conditions
• The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and sightings cannot be guaranteed
