Experience the fjord landscapes around Tromsø from both sea and land on a combined tour by yacht and minivan, including a café visit in Ersfjordbotn.
General information
This tour is operated by Arctic Cruise in Norway.
Discover the Arctic landscapes around Tromsø from both sea and land. The tour begins with a fjord cruise aboard a comfortable yacht before continuing by minivan to Kaldfjord and Ersfjordbotn.
Fjord cruise by yacht
The tour departs from the harbour in Tromsø city centre. You will sail south aboard Arctic Princess or Arctic Queen, passing Grindløya and Håkøya before arriving in Eidskjosen.
Along the way, you can enjoy views of islands, fjords and mountains. The skipper and guide will share stories and local knowledge about the area, while coffee, tea and snacks are served on board. Both yachts have a comfortable, heated saloon.
The sailing time is approximately 1–1.5 hours.
Fjord tour by minivan
In Eidskjosen, the tour continues in a Mercedes V-Class minivan or Tesla Model X, depending on the number of guests. You will travel onwards to Kaldfjord, with opportunities to stop for photographs and enjoy views of the surrounding fjords.
The tour then continues to Ersfjordbotn and Bryggejentene café.
Café visit in Ersfjordbotn
At Bryggejentene, you can enjoy a cup of coffee while taking in the view of Ersfjorden. A selection of hot and cold lunch dishes is also available to purchase.
The café is closed on Sundays. On Sunday tours, the journey may instead continue to Sommarøy if the guests agree. This adds approximately one hour to the driving time.
Return to Tromsø
On the return journey, you will see more of Kvaløya and gain an insight into life outside Tromsø city centre. The tour crosses Sandnessund Bridge and returns to Tromsøya. If you are lucky, you may also spot reindeer along the way.
The regular tour has a maximum of seven guests, allowing for a more personal experience and close contact with the guide. The tour can also be arranged for larger groups on request.
Important information:
• The yacht and vehicle used depend on the size of the group and availability.
• The itinerary and photography stops may change depending on weather and road conditions.
• Bryggejentene café is closed on Sundays. The tour may instead be extended with a visit to Sommarøy if the guests agree.
• The tour can be booked as a private experience.
