Husky Café

General information

Please note: Husky Café is currently closed for the season and will return summer 2027.

Visit Husky Café at Tromsø Villmarkssenter for a relaxed summer experience combining homemade food with the chance to meet Alaskan huskies at a working sled dog kennel.

You are free to explore the dog yard, spend time with the dogs and learn more about their lives as sled dogs. During the summer months, you may also be able to visit the puppy pen. The puppies follow their own daily routine, so their availability may vary.

If you would like more time with the dogs, Tromsø Villmarkssenter also offers separate activities such as Puppy Training and Husky Hike.

Food and drink:

The café serves homemade treats and light meals, prepared with local ingredients whenever possible. The selection includes Norwegian waffles, cakes, cookies, the Husky muffin, coffee, hot chocolate, cold drinks and ice cream.

You can enjoy your food inside the café, in the traditional lavvo or outside on the terrace overlooking the dog yard and surrounding nature.

Suitable for families:

Husky Café welcomes visitors of all ages and is particularly suitable for families. Children must be supervised by an adult while visiting the dogs.

Parking: Free parking is available at Tromsø Villmarkssenter.

Accessibility: Husky Café is wheelchair accessible.

Important information:

• The puppy pen can be visited during the summer, but access to the puppies may vary depending on their daily routine.
• Please do not feed the dogs.
• Private dogs are not permitted on the premises.
• Puppy Training and Husky Hike are separate activities and must be booked separately.
