Husky Hike and Puppy Visit Package

This tour is operated by Tromsø Villmarkssenter.

Travel from Tromsø to Tromsø Villmarkssenter and join an experienced guide for a hike through the surrounding Arctic landscape accompanied by some of the centre’s Alaskan huskies.

The hike lasts approximately 1.5–2 hours. The dogs are strong, energetic and love to pull, so they are usually shared between two or more guests during the hike. Along the way, your guide will tell you more about the huskies and their daily lives at the centre.

After the hike, visit the puppy enclosure, where you can meet and spend time with some of the centre’s future sled dogs.

Before returning to Tromsø, relax in the traditional gamme and enjoy a homemade lunch by the open fire. The meal is bacalao, a Norwegian fish dish with Portuguese roots, with a vegetarian option available on request. Coffee or tea and chocolate cake are served afterwards.

Minimum age: Recommended from 6 years. The hike is not recommended for younger children due to the walking distance. Please contact us before booking if you would like to participate with a child under 6.

Departure time and meeting point: Departure at 9:30 AM (09:30) from outside the main entrance of Radisson Blu Hotel, Sjøgata 7, 9259 Tromsø. Please meet 15 minutes before departure.

Duration: Approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes.

Important information:

• Children must be accompanied by an adult
• The huskies are strong and energetic and are normally shared between two or more guests during the hike
• Please dress according to the weather
• The bus will not wait for late arrivals. If you are not at the meeting point on time and miss the departure, this will be considered a no-show and no refund will be issued
