The exact route will be determined based on the weather conditions and the wishes of the group. If the weather permits, we will enjoy homemade chocolate cake and something hot to drink along the trail while admiring the views. About Tromsø Villmarkssenter

30 years ago, the renowned dog sled racer Tove Sørensen opened her home to guests from all over the world.

Since then, she and her family have dedicated their lives to educating visitors about Alaskan huskies, dog sledding and Arctic nature through sustainable outdoor activities.

We strive to be inclusive hosts in every regard – everybody who shares our passion is welcome. Vegetarian and vegan alternatives are available for all our programmes, and most of our activities are suitable for the whole family. Let your little ones play with our little ones in the puppy training programme, or take them on a sledding adventure safely chauffeured by one of our experienced guides. Infants aged 0–2 years are always free of charge, and we offer discounts for children.

Our facilities are also wheelchair accessible, and our dog sledding ride programme in particular is well suited to people with disabilities. However, our walkways can be a little difficult to manoeuvre, especially when covered in snow. Therefore, we recommend bringing a helper with you when you visit. Our standard shuttle service requires guests to board the bus independently, but we can arrange specialised transportation upon request. Please contact us if you are planning a visit; we would be delighted to tailor a smooth and barrier-free experience for you.

On our programmes, you will not only experience everything we love about our home, but also discover your own connection to the Arctic. Whether you let us teach you how to drive a sled or allow a four-legged hiking companion to show you their favourite trails, Tromsø Villmarkssenter is your home in the wilderness.
