General information
This tour is operated by Arctic Guide Service.
Highlights:
• Scenic landscapes
• Photography tips
• Facts and history about the Northern Lights
The destination of the tour will be the location offering the best chance of seeing the Northern Lights, based on the latest weather forecast.
Each minibus or coach has a professional driver and an authorised guide on board.
On the tour, you will be accompanied by our guides and experienced drivers in a comfortable, climate-controlled vehicle. Our Northern Lights tours are organised as “chasing tours”, meaning that we actively search for the Northern Lights. Based on our experience, this offers the best chance of seeing them.
The guides use their extensive knowledge of the local climate and terrain, together with the latest weather forecast. At the same time, they work closely with the drivers, who know the road conditions well, to plan the tour in the best possible way and maximise the chance of seeing the Northern Lights.
In addition to deciding where the tour will go, one of the guides’ main aims is to photograph the participants with the Northern Lights in the background, provided that the Northern Lights are visible. The guides are experienced in Northern Lights photography and can advise you on the best camera settings. During the tour, we will also tell you about the Northern Lights.
The photographs taken during the tour will not be sent by email. Instead, they will be uploaded to a platform where they can be viewed and downloaded.
