Northern Lights Tour Small Group

General information

This tour is operated by Borealis Tour.

Join a small-group Northern Lights tour from Tromsø with a maximum of eight guests. The limited group size offers a more personal experience and gives the guide flexibility to adapt the route to the weather, cloud cover and driving conditions.

Using local knowledge, weather forecasts and information about solar activity, the guide will search for clear skies and favourable conditions for seeing the Northern Lights. The tour may visit several locations and can travel as far as Finland when necessary.

At a suitable location, you can relax around the campfire while learning more about the Northern Lights, Arctic wildlife and the history of Tromsø. Hot drinks, local snacks, locally produced sausages and marshmallows are served during the tour.

Thermal suits are included to help keep you warm. Hand warmers, head torches and tripods for cameras and mobile phones are also available when needed.

High-resolution portrait and landscape photographs from the tour are included and will be sent to you afterwards.

The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed. If the Northern Lights are not visible during the tour, no refund or complimentary tour will be provided. Instead, you will receive a 50% discount on a new tour with Borealis Tour.

Return transport:

• Direct drop-off is available at hotels located along the main street in Tromsø
• Guests staying elsewhere within 10 km of Tromsø city centre can be dropped off at their accommodation
• Guests staying outside this area will be dropped off at a convenient taxi rank, and the guide can assist with arranging a taxi

• Please inform the operator in advance of any dietary requirements, allergies or medical conditions
• Toilet facilities are limited during the tour. We recommend using the toilet before departure
• The route and duration may vary depending on weather and driving conditions
• The tour may travel longer distances, including to Finland
• The tour may last longer than six hours when additional driving is required
• The Northern Lights cannot be guaranteed
