About us

Arctic GM Experiences (The Original Aurora Hunters®) builds on a family heritage in the Arctic dating back to the 1600s, with roots in Finnish Lapland and Northern Norway, including long-standing ties to the Tromsø region.

The company offers small-group, private, and larger group experiences, allowing guests to choose between more personal formats and cost-efficient alternatives. All tours are led by in-house, full-time professional guides — Aurora Hunters — with extensive local expertise. Arctic GM follows a philosophy of quality over quantity, focusing on safe, well-organised experiences in authentic Arctic environments, often away from the most crowded areas.

Northern Lights tours are operated using real-time weather and solar activity analysis, allowing guides to continuously adapt locations and routes to improve viewing conditions. When required, operations may extend across nearby regions and, if conditions demand, across national borders — including into Sweden and Finland — in search of clearer skies. Professional photography is included as part of selected experiences.
