From Smak av hav, you get a ready-to-eat seafood experience – wherever you are. We handpick seasonal ingredients and put them together into a complete menu: juicy prawns, delicate crab claws, fresh crab meat, langoustines, snow crab, king crab – and our signature mussels cooked in Norwegian apple juice.
Everything is served with local bread, butter and aioli – carefully selected to enhance the flavours. But this is more than just a meal.
Together with local service providers, we create a complete experience – whether you are on the pier, in the mountains or at home. We have thought of everything: serving equipment, eating utensils, waste bags and even lemon-scented napkins are included. You simply open, taste and enjoy.
Smak av hav was founded to make seafood more accessible through a new, sustainable food system that challenges current processes and structures. The Norwegian seafood sector struggles with food waste and inefficient production processes, where valuable raw materials are lost. Many species and resources never reach consumers due to limited distribution and the industry’s strong export focus.
Our goal is to help digitalise the industry through a forward-looking food system that utilises the ocean’s resources more efficiently and sustainably, while creating added value at every stage.
