About us

Escape to your own private lodge at a small, family-run husky farm in Målselv and experience Arctic life away from the busier tourism areas around Tromsø.

The lodge and experiences are entirely private, with no other guests joining your stay. With a maximum of six guests, the experience is designed for couples, families and small groups looking for a more personal way to experience Northern Norway.

Stay for one night or extend your visit for as long as you wish. Each night includes one private Arctic experience, adapted to the season, weather conditions and your preferences.

In winter, this may include driving your own dog team through snowy forests, dog sledding after dark, snowshoeing or learning Arctic survival skills. During summer and autumn, activities may include husky carting, canoeing and exploring the surrounding wilderness.

Time with the pack of Alaskan huskies is part of life at the lodge throughout the year.

There is no fixed itinerary. Because the stay is exclusively for your group, the programme and pace can be adapted along the way. Spend time outdoors, relax in the wood-fired sauna, enjoy dinner and quiet evenings at the lodge, and get a glimpse of everyday life at a family-run husky farm in Northern Norway.

The historic Norwegian lodge is more than 150 years old and provides a private base for your stay.

One night gives you a complete introduction to the experience. Stay longer and each additional night includes another private Arctic experience, giving you more time to slow down, explore the area and enjoy the surroundings.

No previous experience with dog sledding or the other activities is required. Activities are adapted to the group, season and conditions.

How to get here:

The husky farm can be reached by rental car or public transport from Tromsø.

Private transfer between Bardufoss and the lodge is included and arranged according to your arrival and departure times.
