About us

At Aurora Wonderland Basecamp, we specialise in creating Arctic experiences in the heart of Northern Norway. Located in the Lyngen Alps, around a 1.5-hour drive from Tromsø, our basecamp combines comfort, outdoor activities and Arctic nature.

The Lyngen region is surrounded by snow-covered mountains and deep fjords and offers excellent conditions for viewing the Northern Lights.

Stay in one of our Crystal Lavvo Cabins, unique glass-roofed cabins designed for viewing the Northern Lights. Sleep beneath the Arctic sky with the possibility of seeing the Northern Lights from your bed. The cabins are equipped for a cosy, private and comfortable stay.

We also offer guided snowmobile tours through the Arctic landscape, suitable for both beginners and experienced riders. Other opportunities include scenic hikes, wildlife spotting and time to enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Our activities are suitable for families. The minimum age is 6 years for stays in the Crystal Lavvo Cabins and 7 years for snowmobile tours.
