About us

Jobb og Fritid is a specialist outdoor and workwear retailer in Tromsø, with three physical stores and an online store. Since 1988, we have helped people dress for life in Northern Norway – outdoors, at work and in everyday life.

Jobb og Fritid has three stores in Tromsø, each with its own profile:

Jobb og Fritid Jekta, at Jekta shopping centre, is an outdoor and sports store with warm winter clothing, shell jackets, wool base layers, footwear and outdoor gear. The store is an official Arc'teryx retailer.

Jobb og Fritid Veita is in the heart of Tromsø city centre, at Veita shopping centre in Storgata. Here you will find outdoor clothing and a large selection of Arc'teryx products. It is also the only one of our stores that carries Rab.

Jobb og Fritid Bedriftssenter, at Kvaløyvegen 329, is our centre for workwear, high-visibility clothing, safety shoes and branded clothing with company logos – for both businesses and private customers.

We carry many Norwegian and Scandinavian brands, including Norrøna, Devold, Aclima, Helly Hansen, Fjällräven and Hestra. Our knowledgeable staff help you choose the right layers for the Arctic climate, whether you are heading out on a northern lights tour, into the mountains or working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Visitors who live outside Norway can shop tax-free in all three stores. At our online store you can order products online and collect them from the store that suits you best.
