About us

Wondering Reindeer is a small Sámi tour company established by me, Ole Mathis.

I come from a small Sámi community a few hours driving from Tromsø, and grew up in a Sámi family closely connected to reindeer herding. My mother tongue is the Sámi language.

We arrange unique and personal tours for guests from all over the world who want to experience the real North. From breathtaking Arctic landscapes and local Sámi traditions to unforgettable encounters with nature, we want to share the places and experiences that make Northern Norway so special. All our tours feature Sámi History and local knowledge as a core part of the experience.
